2022/09/29 Luo Bingcheng, spokesman of the Executive Yuan, announced that normal entry and customs clearance will resume from October 13. In addition to the continuation of the policy of exempting entry from saliva rapid screening from September 29 and changing the issuance of household rapid screening, the official implementation of home quarantine exemption and 7-day independent epidemic prevention. Asymptomatic people can leave the airport by public transport.

When entering the country, people will receive 4 doses of household quick screening, quick screening on the day of entry/the first day of self-epidemic prevention, and quick screening if they have symptoms during the 7-day self-epidemic prevention period. In addition, people must have a negative result of the rapid screening within 2 days when they are at the outdoor. At the same time, it will cancel the sending of home quarantine notices, and stop electronic tracking, mobile phone electronic supervision, and health insurance registration.

Quarantine hotels are determined to return to general hotel operations. The principle of accommodation is one person per room. The anti-epidemic fleet continues to operate, giving priority to inbound passengers with symptoms.

Conference Overview

Conference Theme: Silicon ICs Enabling Carbon Neutral World

Thrust towards carbon neutrality is becoming a game changer in lifestyle, culture and industry and it will create an unwitnessed global economic impact as well as new opportunities. Reducing carbon emission and trading it are key to a carbon neutral future, and at the heart of it lies intelligent monitoring and control of carbon emissions, which requires myriads of ICs for smart sensing, AI processing, mass storage, efficient power delivery, and wireless/wireline communication. A-SSCC 2022 will highlight these ICs that provide unique and innovative solutions for a carbon neutral world.

The IEEE A-SSCC 2022 (Asian Solid-State Circuits Conference) is an international forum for presenting the most updated and advanced chips and circuit designs in solid-state and semiconductor fields. This conference is supported by the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society. A-SSCC 2022 presents 4 plenary talks, 4 tutorials, 21 technical sessions, 8 special sessions, 1 panel discussion, 1 FPGA demo, 1 industry demo, 1 start-up showcase, and 1 student design contest. There are 139 oral presentations in total. A-SSCC 2022 is a hybrid event with physical (on-site) and virtual (online) attendance. The physical conference will be held at The Grand Hotel, Taipei, while virtual attendance is provided for overseas attendees.
